Progress Report 15/11/2017

Today I did some more filming with my friends, in which it incorporated my other character as I shot some of my montage that was my characters arguing. I worried about the lighting that was present as it was giving an orange glow to the scene like it did to previous shots, however I was not too bothered about it as it can be fixed post edit.



 
I got quite a lot of shots done within the small amount of time I had, and was content with just making progress as I finally had my other character available. What I need to do now is to do a shoot at my location by Redcar beach, and schedule both of my characters to be there.

  This is my digipak to accompany the rest of the album that the song "Intertwined" features on, in which my music video is based upon.     A few things that I like from this product is:    The colour scheme - I like the colour scheme that I chose as it is nature orientated, hence quite stereotypically feminine and fits in with my target audience. I also think it is quite mellow and fits in with the genre of the music that dodie produces. Furthermore, it goes with the model who is acting as Dodie's hair. The Images used - I like the photography that I shot as it is very smiley and enthusiastic, which suits most of dodie's upbeat cheery songs. I also believe about how naturalistic and slightly candid the images look, it fits with the mellow colour scheme. Bullied - Editing Practice

This is a very short film that I made within a group of four, in which we used it as practice for our  coursework. We had a set dialogue, and a list of different shot sizes and cinematography techniques to include, and we had 2 hours to film and edit it. What I have created isn't the best piece of film, but I am quite proud of what I have achieved due to this being my first ever short film. It uses techniques like shot reverse shots, long shorts, eye line matches, match on action, close ups, etc. This is exampled within the conversation between the two friends that are bulling the other character.   I think the use of focusing is particularly good, because it allows the audience to see exactly who the girls are talking about without there being any dialogue. The focus is a wide depth of field as you can see the background and the foreground together, as you can see all three characters in that shot.
